You may have read a lot about Islam through textbooks during high school, about the history of this religion, about the nobles and great people., about the laws and countries, about the wars, about the culture, about everything.
If you do know, you would find the articles even more interesting and informative. In this issue, TIME tells you some stories on the 14th century explorer Ibn Battuta, the pirates in Somali (which reminds me of South Park where those kids went to Somali and become “real” pirates), the influences of Islam to the world, and cross-culture of Islam with the others.
Through the pictures and words, you will learn about Islam from more perspective, and how different it is compared to the national religion in Malaysia.
